LAODS NEWS ~ Musical Theatre made in Lincoln

A RHAPSODY OF SUCCESS

Under the patient stewardship of Simon Calver, LAODS are the proud winners of the mixed choir class at the Lincoln Music Festival for the second year in succession. Our programme began with a "rousing" rendition of Man In The Mirror which was followed by an a capella arrangement of Bohemian Rhapsody. Both were received with huge enthusiasm by the judge and the audience, which I am happy to report contained many friends of our Society. Thanks to them for their support and special thanks to Simon Calver for his patience, precision and passion.

IT ALL STARTS ON SKID ROW

Dance rehearsals began in earnest this week when the full cast of LAODS summer production of Little Shop of Horrors converged on Tentercroft Street to learn the moves for the heart rending number: Skid Row.  Bums, ragamuffins and tramps make up a sizable proportion of inhabitants of this run down part of New York City.  A trio of urchin girls (The Ronettes) form a harmonious powerhouse to get the show off to a compelling start.

From 25th June at LPAC, don't miss it!
